Lately, I’ve been jumping around from new piece to new piece. I don’t feel that excitement I used to get when I start something new and then can’t wait for the next time I continue working on it because it was coming out so great.
Probably because I’ve been drawing almost the same things consistently that I get bored after a good progress. It makes me not want to continue the piece. So I’ve been trying to find new ways to create things. Not venturing too far out of my style. Maybe just trying to evolve. I thought about the time I used to just create, create and create and the state of mind I was in that just kept me going and going. Then I thought that maybe there was never anything wrong with my style. I just need to hit the sketchbook again and start taking in new things to let them sink into my unconscious so they can flow out of me when go into my freestyle mode. Anyways, my works been coming out slower and I’ve been less productive because I’ve been so bored of the same thing I’ve done. It’s now the time to draw things I don’t usually draw, or go back to watching japanese animated movies or read something new. The past years I’ve just been creating final works and neglecting the part of my art life where I go around and just sketch whenever I felt like it whether it was pretty or not. #art #illustration
My mind’s been suddenly absorbed into these wrathful, demonic looking deities. After being surrounded by a couple of them in a NYC museum over the past weekend, it has definitely gave me inspiration.
Here’s a start of something new, and I’m back to the 15x20” illustration boards.

Vajrapāṇi is one of the earliest-appearing bodhisattvas in Mahayana Buddhism. He is the protector and guide of Gautama Buddha and rose to symbolize the Buddha’s power.
Vajrapani is extensively represented in Buddhist iconography as one of the three protective deities surrounding the Buddha. Each of them symbolizes one of the Buddha’s virtues: Mañjuśrī manifests all the Buddhas’ wisdom, Avalokiteśvara manifests all the Buddhas’ compassion and Vajrapani manifests all the Buddhas’ power as well as the power of all five tathāgatas.
Rabbit as #Vajrapani.

Gotta do something to the background and it will be done . I like this piece. Took a slightly different approach than my usual strictly-freestyle work. Made a light pencil outline of a rabbit. Kept its head but the body I freestyled. Came out pretty cool yo. I’m pooping right now btw
